A new case has been contributed by the IFO Institute to the ‘Besser Lackieren’ expert network. On a powder-coated cover plate, flaking of the coating with underlying corrosion was observed. A crack in the coating and a dark sheen along the edges were also noticeable. The component was manufactured from stamped and folded sheet steel.
