DIN 55633

The DIN 55633 series of standards is a supplement to the internationally recognised ISO 12944 series on corrosion protection systems in the form of liquid paint on thick-walled steel structures. Instead of liquid paints, the DIN standard considers powder coating systems.

The DIN 55634 series of standards describes the requirements for the corrosion protection properties of powder coating systems on steel. In contrast to DIN 55633, however, the standard refers to thin-walled steel components.

DIN EN ISO 12944

The international ISO 12944 series of standards defines the requirements for corrosion protection of liquid paint coating systems on thick-walled steel and galvanised steel. Depending on the desired durability of a coating, ISO 12944-6 specifies a test programme with corresponding requirements.
