The international QUALANOD quality label is aimed at applicators of anodised aluminium in the architectural sector, as well as in the industrial sector, where appearance and a long service life are important. Decorative anodising and hard anodising are also covered. Anodising carried out to produce a decorative surface whose main characteristic is a uniform, attractive appearance falls under the category of decorative anodising. Hard anodising produces a coating whose main characteristic is high abrasion resistance or microhardness.
The purpose of this international quality mark is to ensure the quality of the anodising process for aluminium and its alloys. The QUALANOD specification sets out the requirements for sulphuric acid-based anodising and the products produced by this process.
We monitor these businesses to ensure they comply with QUALANOD’s quality standards. Our qualified inspectors, who are accredited by QUALANOD, carry out checks on the comprehensive in-house control and documentation programme.
