The international QUALICOAT quality mark is aimed at companies that coat aluminium and aluminium alloys for architectural applications. We carry out the monitoring of member companies for this international quality mark worldwide.
As part of this process, our inspectors check that QUALICOAT member companies comply with the professional and technical requirements set out in the QUALICOAT guidelines. In accordance with these requirements, production facilities, processes, documentation of key production data and the quality of the finished products are inspected.
In addition to reviewing the comprehensive in-house monitoring and documentation programme, our inspectors take samples during the quality inspection, which are then subjected to the prescribed corrosion tests at the IFO Institute’s laboratory. Only approved coating systems are permitted for the coating process. Coating materials are approved in our accredited laboratory.
